Although Batanes is far from the mainland, there are cable TV companies that keeps the people in Batanes up-to-date to the events happening worldwide. CNN, MTV and Discovery Channel plus TV channels 7 and 13 from Manila can be watched in Batanes.

A local radio station DWBT Radyo ng Bayan (with live news relay from Manila) is also on-the-air daily broadcasting programs tailor made to the issues and needs of the local community.
