My Time Has Come
by Zedrick Lizardo-Tungol
First year student - Quezon City Science High School
September 2006
As I watch my life fall in front of me
My soul shatter to a million pieces
all hopes,deeds,dreams blow away
into the mists of time
Is this my destination?
my place in the strands of fate?
I can't change it...
These strands were woven
by my Mother,
The Mother Earth
I accept it
This curse is what I am
The burning anger and frustration
that once flowed in my veins
was replaced by silence and gloom
There was no more hope, no more chance to change
I want all of it to stop....
In any way
Death?
okay............
I don't care anymore
As I thrust the stiletto through my broken heart
The sadness stops, Time pauses.
Crimson Flashes, My sight darkening
As I lay there......
I smiled, I was happy...
I am released from the grasp of destiny
I closed my eyes,
A black veil covered me...
My time has come.
