Mahatao Proclaimed cleanest and greenest Municipality in Batanes

Congratulations to Mayor William Agsunod and staff down to the Barangay level for being named and warded P10,000.00 cash prize for being the cleanest and greenest municipality in Batanes. Gov. Gato and DIIG Provincial Director Baldovino Valdez chairman of the Clean and Green Committee awarded the prize. Mahatao contributed tremendously in the success of the goals of the provincial government.

The awarding highlighted the culminating program of the observance of Crime Prevention Week on September 7, 2000. Other guests were PNP Superintendent Bonifacio Alia who pronounced that Mahatao Police Station ranked no.1 in the annual General Inspection in the province; and Batanes Provincial Police obtained a rating of 89.1% in performance in the Regional NAPOLCOM.
