Ivatan inspired paintings by Mr. Michael
P. Blanco, a celebrated artist of the Blanco Family (Blanco Family Museum)
of Angono, Rizal will be showcased at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
It features sceneries, the Ivatans and the cultural heritage of Batanes.
The exhibition, entitled: Ivatans, People
of the North will be formally opened by Dr. Florentino Hornedo on
April 22 at 6:00 pm.
It will be open until May 30, 2004 from
10am to 6 pm at the Second Floor hallway (Pasilyo Vicente Manansala)
of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

Mr. Blanco is renowned for his festive
and colorful masterpieces with painstaking details.
"I spent a few weeks in Batanes and enjoyed the place very much.
Mabuhay Kayo!" says Mr. Blanco.
Everyone is invited to grace the occasion
especially the Ivatans whose cultural heritage have inspired Mr. Blanco's
paintings.
