N S F nominated most effective vocational school
The Sabtang National School of Fisheries (SNSF) was chosen among all the
secondary schools in the division of Batanes entry to the 1999 Regional
Search for the Most Effective School (Vocational School Category) held
this January.
An inter-school visitation was conducted on December 14-15, 1999 by Superintendent
Alma Dolores M. Navarette, together with other school officials and personnel.
The purpose was to personally assess the real set-up of all schools in
the mainland and Sabtang School under a prescribed criteria.
On December 16, 1999, an awarding ceremony was held at the Basco Central
School. Sabtang National School of Fisheries garnered the most number
awards as: 1) Best prepared Learning Environment; 2) Most Beautiful School
Landscaped; 3) Most Beautiful Grotto; 4) Most Beautiful/Functional School
Office; 5) Most Functional Comfort Room; 6) Most Functional Clinic; 7)
Best Home Economics Set-up; 8) Best Structured Academic Classroom; 9)
Best Implementor of National Drug Education Program (NDEP).
The SNSF staff, under the leadership of the Vocational School Administrator
Rogelio F. Luis, was commended for their achievement. From DECS-Batanes
