Batanes sends first delegates to Regional DAMATH Competitions

Seven participants were chosen as the first batch of delegates to represent the province in the Regional DAMATH Competition at the Isabela National High School in Iligan, Isabela on January 26-28, 2000.

The delegates were determined after a final screening of the top three winners of the Division Competition in the elementary and high school levels.

The final contestants for the elementary levels were Roland Castillejos, Jr. of Basco Central School (level 1), Irving Halago of Sabtang Elementars School (level 2), and Rhoupheline Cadiz of Ivana Elementary School (level 3). They were accompanied by their coaches, Mrs. Pilar Mata, Mrs Helen Habana and Mr. Marlu Gabilo, respectively.

In the secondary level were Hazel Ruiz of BNHS- Ivana with coach Mrs. Shirley Ruiz, Mark Lechuga with coach Mrs. Shirley Galolo, Jason Salendab with coach Mrs. Josifina Obra, and Jackie Lou Cobico with Mrs. Elizabeth Pama, all from Batanes National High School-Main.
