Former Mayor Ramon "Monching" Elizondo of Ivana tied the knot with Pacita Vinalay of Basco in ceremonies held at the Ivana Church last April 21, 1999. This is the second marriage for the groom, a widower, and the first for the bride. Pacita works as an auditor of the Commission on Audit - Batanes Agency. Ex-Mayor Elizondo is the son of former Ivana mayor Felisa Elizondo while Pacita is the daughter of Mr. Felimon and Juana Vinalay of San Antonio, Basco.

Roberto B. Baletin of Diptan, Basco exchanged "I do's" with Julia Horcajo of Kayvaluganan, Basco last April 5, 1999. The groom is the son of Francisco and Patrocinia Baletin while the bride is the daughter of Juan and Agripina Horcajo. Both Bascoeños, the wedding was held at Basco Cathedral.

Wenceslao Adonis Asantor of Basco married Verena Esdicul of Ivana last April 21, 1999. Wenceslao is the son of Vicente and Irene Asantor while Verena is the daughter of Pilar A. Esdicul.

William Velasco of Uyugan and the United States came home to marry Imelda A. Abas, daughter of the late Domingo and Emiliana Abas. The couple plans to settle in the US Velasco is the son of of Margarita Egobia of Uyugan. Their wedding rites were held last April 2, 1999 at Basco Cathedral

Albert B. Calagui wed Lynette N. Garcia last April 30, 1999 at the Basco Cathedral. Albert is the son of Gregorio and Erica Calagui while Lynette is the daughter of Mr. Alfredo and Carmen Garcia of Itbayat.

Homer Edward M. Ugali and Milet Arca were married last May 12 in Basco. Homer is the son of Rosario M. Ugali while Milet is the daughter of Winifredo and Valentina Arca.

Manuel G. Gallo and Patricia Halago both of Sabtang got married last April 10, 1999 at the San Vicente de Ferrer Church in Centro. Manuel is the son of the late Domingo and Anatalia Gallo, while Pat is the daughter of the late Felix and Remedios Enego. Pat works as a community organizer of the Batanes Development Foundation, Inc.
